about bye phoebe

When I was a kid, my family lived on a farm without electricity on the Big Island in Hawaii. My mom sewed all of our clothes by hand, and added seashells we collected from the beach for embellishment. She taught me how to create and appreciate the beauty of nature.

This project is a love letter to her, my grandmother, and all other women who have found themselves lost in a world that didn't nurture their creativity.

My Work

I'm a multidisciplinary artist inspired by dreams, mythology, and magic.

My focus is on creating small collections of apparel using hand processes, like dyeing, embroidery, and upcycling textiles; I am continually working towards more sustainable practices.

Right now my favorite thing to do is design one of a kind clothing and then drive to remote locations in Utah and photograph them.

I also work as a Graphic Designer and Photographer for clients, and enjoy building cohesive brands.
